Case Study: One Client. Two Sold Businesses. 15 Years Apart

Last month, Tenney Group completed the sale of a trucking business in California. This Company had been providing concrete washouts and debris containers since 2005. The sale price was 15% over what the client had hoped. He was thrilled. Similarly, the Tenney Group team was thrilled because this was the second business sale success story we had played a role in making possible with this same owner. Back in 2002, we helped this same owner maximize the sale of a chauffeured transportation company. They immediately invested the proceeds of their sale into another transportation related business. This is very common in our industry. Investors tend to gravitate toward investments that they generally understand and that will present a limited learning curve. When the owner hired Tenney Group earlier in the year, he shared that he knew no other resource could help him achieve his exit goals like our firm.
